The Women’s Spring Triple Threat was rescheduled for August 20 at Rolling Hills Country Club due to the state-wide quarantine during the original scheduled date.
Katy Winters and Selina Redeker dominated the field, winning the championship by 11 shots over Denise Desilet and Jettie Bezek.
The Winters/Redeker duo shot 63 (-9) in the unique format: 6 holes Four-Ball, 6 holes Chapman Alternate Shot, and 6 holes Scramble. Redeker made birdie on the third hole followed by Winters making an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole. The team really found success in the Alternate Shot format. They birdied four of the six holes. They continued their lead in the Scramble format, making birdies on holes, 14, 16, and 18.
In the overall Net Division, Terri Wittrig and Terrie Ramsey won by one shot over JoAnn McCormack and Tina Lichtlin. Wittrig and Ramsey are both members at Rolling Hills Country Club, giving them the obvious advantage. They found success in the Alternate Shot format making two net birdies and an eagle.
