When the Kansas City Golf Association celebrated its centennial in 2012, a young caddie from Milburn recounted the history of golf, golf courses and famous players who made this area a “hotbed” of activity.
Though Jimmy’s story revolves around golf, he incorporated many bits of Kansas City history into the telling.
Originally published in monthly installments, Jimmy’s story predates the 2018 merger of the KCGA, the Kansas Golf Association and the Kansas Women’s Golf Association to form Central Links Golf, so some of his references should be read with this caveat in mind.
