Jakob Garstecki was the medalist and loan qualifier from Monday’s US Amateur qualifier at Shoal Creek.
Garstecki, a UMKC Kangaroo, survived a hot, steamy day by firing rounds of 71-69.
Patrick Hall beat Jack Parker in a playoff to earn 1st alternate.
The US Amateur Championship will be played at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles on August 14-20.
