The Kansas City Junior Championship crowned two champions Friday at Adams Pointe Golf Club.
While Jett Simmons claimed his first boys’ division title, India Gaume captured her second junior championship in three years.
Gaume fired off a first-round two-under, 70 to post a commanding four-stroke lead over eventual girls’ division runner-up Julia Misemer (six-over, 150 total).
Friday, Gaume held off the field with a three-over, 75, recording a one-over, 145 total score.
Taylor Black claimed third place with her nine-over, 153 total.
Gaume won her first title in 2014 at Hillcrest Country Club.
Simmons began Friday’s final round four strokes off the lead and out of the final pairing, but countered his opening round 76 with a one-under, 71.
Sam Parrott fired round of 75 and 74, 149 overall to take the runner-up position, while Ethan Wegner rounded out the top three with a six-over, 150 overall.
