Program Information
If it has been hard for you to get away from the office for multi-day championships, then here’s a great way to play competitive golf on great venues at a reasonable price: the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series. The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is open to golfers age 25 to 49.
The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series events are played in conjunction with the Kansas Senior Series program events and use net scoring. There will be no cross-competition with the senior golfers.
Eligibility:
- Open to mid-amateur golfers age 25 to 49 years old on or before the date of any Kansas Mid-Amateur Series event.
- Must have an active USGA GHIN Handicap.
- There is no minimum or maximum Handicap Index requirement.
Membership & Entry Fees:
- Membership in the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is $30 per year. Membership dues must be paid in advance of entering your first Mid-Amateur Series event.
- Each Mid-Amateur Series entry fee covers green fee, golf cart, range balls and a chance to win gift certificates. Practice rounds are not included as part of the entry fee.
Terms of Competition:
- Competition is gross and net scoring.
- The maximum gross score a player can record on any hole is a nine (9).
- Sprinkler Head Interference Near Putting Green – Model Local Rule F-5 is in effect for all Mid-Am Series events. Click here for full description of this local rule.
- The entire field will compete for gross and net gift certificates. Players can win only one (1) gift certificate per event.
- Players can also earn a maximum of 15 total Kansas Mid-Amateur Player of the Year points during the season.
- Scores from each Mid-Amateur Series event will be posted to the GHIN handicap system.
- The approximate yardage for each Mid-Amateur Series event will vary depending on the host course, but the anticipated yardage will be 6,600-6,800 yards.
