In order to apply to compete in a Mid-Amateur Series event, you must first register and pay for the annual membership in the Mid-Amateur Series program. Click here to enter online or to sign up for the annual membership dues. Membership program and entries will open on March 5, 2024 at 10:00 am.

New in 2024, all Senior Series/Mid-Am Series entries received between 10:00 am on March 5th and 12:00 pm on March 6th will be placed in “pending status”. Beginning at 12:00 pm on March 6th, all entries received for each event will be randomly added to each event using the “lottery” method in our tournament software.  Priority will be given to players that submit entries into both events that are played on back-to-back days. This new entry procedure is being implemented based on player feedback to provide an equitable opportunity for all potential event entrants to have a chance to participate in these highly popular events. This will eliminate the race to enter at the exact moment entries open and navigate the entry system issues that have occurred the past couple years with growing popularity of the Senior Series/Mid-Am Series events. All entries received after 12:00 pm on March 6th will be added to events on a first come, first serve basis.  If an event becomes full after this time, entries will be added to a waitlist based upon entry order.

Program Information

If it has been hard for you to get away from the office for multi-day championships, then here’s a great way to play competitive golf on great venues at a reasonable price: the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series. The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is open to golfers age 25 to 49.

The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series events are played in conjunction with the Kansas Senior Series program events and use gross and net scoring.  There will be no cross-competition with the senior age golfers.

Eligibility:

  • Open to mid-amateur golfers age 25 to 49 years old on or before the date of any Kansas Mid-Amateur Series event.
  • Must have an active USGA GHIN Handicap.
  • There is no minimum or maximum Handicap Index requirement.

Membership & Entry Fees:

  • Membership in the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is $30 per year.  Membership dues must be paid in advance of entering your first Mid-Amateur Series event.
  • Each Mid-Amateur Series entry fee covers green fee, golf cart, range balls and a chance to win gift certificates.  Practice rounds are not included as part of the entry fee.

Terms of Competition:

  • Competition is gross and net scoring.
  • The maximum gross score a player can record on any hole is a nine (9).
  • The entire field will compete for gross and net gift certificates with field size determining amount paid out and gross or net bias.  Players can win only one (1) gift certificate per event.
  • Players can also earn a maximum of 15 total Kansas Mid-Amateur Player of the Year points during the season.
  • Scores from each Mid-Amateur Series event will be posted to the GHIN handicap system.
  • The approximate yardage for each Mid-Amateur Series event will vary depending on the host course, but the anticipated yardage will be 6,600-6,800 yards.
