Please note that the maximum field sizes for all tournaments have been reduced in anticipation of single rider carts for social distancing once we begin playing events. Some events previously scheduled for shotgun starts will be changed to tee time starts.

Program Information

If it has been hard for you to get away from the office for multi-day championships, then here’s a great way to play competitive golf on great venues at a reasonable price: the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series. The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is open to golfers age 25 to 49.

The Kansas Mid-Amateur Series events are played in conjunction with the Kansas Senior Series program events and use net scoring.  There will be no cross-competition with the senior golfers.

Eligibility:

  • Open to mid-amateur golfers age 25 to 49 years old on or before the date of any Kansas Mid-Amateur Series event.
  • Must have an active USGA GHIN Handicap.
  • There is no minimum or maximum Handicap Index requirement.

Membership & Entry Fees:

  • Membership in the Kansas Mid-Amateur Series is $30 per year.  Membership dues must be paid in advance of entering your first Mid-Amateur Series event.
  • Kansas Mid-Amateur Series event entry fee is $77 for each series event entered. This entry fee covers green fee, golf cart, range balls and a chance to win gift certificates.  Practice rounds are not included as part of the entry fee.

Terms of Competition:

  • Competition is gross and net scoring.
  • New in 2020, the maximum gross score a player can record on any hole is a nine (9).
  • Sprinkler Head Interference Near Putting Green – Model Local Rule F-5 is in effect for all Mid-Am Series events. Click here for full description of this local rule.
  • The entire field will compete for gross and net gift certificates.  Players can win only one (1) gift certificate per event.
  • Players can also earn a maximum of 15 total Mid-Amateur Player of the Year points during the season (changed for 2019).
  • Scores from each Mid-Amateur Series event will be posted to the GHIN handicap system.
  • The approximate yardage for each Mid-Amateur Series event will vary depending on the host course, but the anticipated yardage will be 6,600-6,800 yards.
