Taylor Black and Skyler Brunk are set to meet Sunday morning in the championship match of the Kansas City Girls Match Play Championship.
Black cruised to victory in the quarterfinals, with a 7 & 6 win over Riley Ricket. In the afternoon, however, things got a little tighter. Megan Propeck kept it close for most of the match, but ultimately Black pulled away for a 2&1 victory.
On the other side of the bracket, Brunk trailed most of her morning match against Teagan Noblit before playing some great golf down the stretch, including a birdie at the 18th to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal, Brunk would win another close match against Caroline Klemp, by a score of 1-up, again by making birdie on the 18th.
The finals will be played at 7:30am tomorrow, May 3rd at Swope Memorial.
