QUARTERFINAL ROUND
The winner of each of the five divisions will qualify for the 2024 Kansas Cup Playoffs. Additionally, three “wild card” teams will also advance to the 2024 Kansas Cup Playoffs. The Quarterfinal Round matches and host courses is detailed below. Tie breaking procedures to determine playoff qualifiers is detailed below. The Quarterfinal Round playoff matches must be played by the first week of October.
BREAKING TIES FOR DIVISION WINNERS:
If two teams in a division end up the regular season with the same number of division wins, the tie shall be broken based on the following criteria, in order of their application:
- Head-to-head division wins between the tied teams. If teams split divisional matches;
- The team with the largest number of points earned in its divisional matches. If still tied,
- The team with the largest number of singles points earned in its divisional matches. If still tied,

BREAKING TIES FOR PLAYOFF “WILD CARD” TEAMS
To determine the three (3) “wild card” teams that will advance to the 2024 Kansas Cup Playoffs, the “wild card” teams will be determined based on the following criteria, in order of their application:
- The teams that are not a division winner with the most overall wins in divisional play will advance to the playoffs as the wild card team (an overall tied match counts as a 1/2 point win). If still tied;
- The team with the largest number of points earned in its divisional matches. If still tied;
- The team with the largest number of singles points earned in its divisional matches. If still tied;

DETERMINING SEEDS FOR PLAYOFF QUARTERFINAL BRACKET:
All teams in the 2024 Kansas Cup Playoffs shall be seeded, but in no event shall the “wildcard” teams be seeded higher than a division winner. Division winners will be bracketed and seeded #1 through #5. The “wildcard” teams will be the #6, #7 and #8 seeds in the playoff quarterfinal bracket. Teams will be seeded based on the following criteria, in order of their application:
- Largest number of division wins. If still tied,
- Largest number of points earned in its divisional matches. If still tied,
- Largest number of singles points earned in its division matches. If still tied,

The Quarterfinal playoff matches need to be completed by October 9th at the latest. Teams involved in each playoff match should work together to find an agreeable date to play this match.

SEMIFINAL ROUND
The four quarterfinal winners will advance to the “final four weekend” on Friday, October 11th at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence. Match times are from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Starting times for the two semifinal matches will be different than in years past as the host course needs carts back in for regular play so we will be sending each semifinal match out in order instead of intermingling the two sets of matches. A coin was flipped to determine which semifinal match will go first.

Anticipated yardages for the Final 4 matches are 7,000 yards for matches that play the back tees and 6,100 yards for all other matches.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
The two clubs advancing to the championship round of the Kansas Cup shall compete for the title at Eagle Bend Golf Course on Saturday, October 12th with match times from 9:00 am to 10:10 am.

PLAYOFF MATCH TIED AFTER COMPLETION OF INDIVIDUAL MATCHES (IN PLAYOFFS ONLY)
In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the nine matches, a playoff shall be conducted according to the following procedures and matches involved:
The Open (non-Senior) Singles Match players, the Senior Modified Chapman Match teams, and the Open/Senior Mixed Four-Ball Match teams. There will then be three matches played, each at sudden death starting from hole #1. This means there will be three points at stake in sudden death. The team that wins two points shall win the match. Note: all three sudden death matches must be contested against the same opponent.
